Victoria Jul 28 - Aug 4 · 2018 Public feedback Ray was amazing and was quick in resolving any concerns that arose while on our vacation. The sunrises and sunsets were simply breathtaking and made one realize how magnificent nature truly is. The cabin is not far from your local grocery store and essentials and near town.Public response Thank you Vicky, we try hard to provide fast service. The cottage is just wonderful and seeing all your family together Madeline, Wally, your spouse and everyone else is always inspiring to me. Families are what make America great, and you sure have a great family
Our Spider Lake cottage stay from July 14 -21st was absolutely wonderful for my whole family! We had three generations staying at the cozy cottage and everyone enjoyed the memorable experience. Its a prime location right between two really nice lakes, which is why we picked it. My parents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with their children/grandchildren. They enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck in the morning while watching the serene lakes and wildlife. My sister taught the grandchildren yoga on the bass lake lower deck and they later learned to kayak. Ray was a wonderful and attentive host who made us feel welcome and appreciated. We also fully enjoyed using the boat and having the kiddos enjoy tubing on Spider Lake. We used the fire pit to make some tasty smores and overall was a memorable time for my extended family.
I like art!
Chris - Let me begin by saying that Ray is an outstanding host. He not only allowed us to book this cottage last minute (within 24 hours of contact), he gave us a substantial discount when we relayed that our group members were active/retired military. Ray's communication was prompt and extremely helpful, he even met us on our arrival to Traverse City. He was professional, attentive and took the time to assist us with getting oriented and settled. His lovely wife Mary gave us detailed directions to the nearest grocery store and provided us with additional toiletries/blankets for our stay. As an added surprise, Ray took us on a tour around the lake, pointing out local hot-spots and even threw in two kayaks. The cottage was spotless, military standards! We had no issues with any appliances, as they were all brand spanking new, and prior to use our hosts had given us a walk-through of everything. Any questions we had were answered within minutes via phone call/text. Coming up from Fort Gordon, GA and being acclimated to hell-like weather, we rarely needed to power the AC. When we flipped it on, within seconds the house was cooled and the frost settled. Perfect for sleeping! The area is very quiet and peaceful at night with several spots available to admire the lights reflecting off of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot-tub, especially during the evening before winding down for bed. Downtown Traverse City makes an interesting day of exploration and many of the restaurants that our hosts suggested provided a very special culinary experience. My only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer, we've already decided this will be an annual leave tradition! The pictures and descriptions don't do this wonderful place justice, it's rustic, tranquil and treated with so much love and care by it's owners. The hosts were welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. I couldn't recommend this cottage enough! Five stars! Thank you Ray!
Linda - Our stay from June 30 thru July 7 was a memory maker for us. We had 8 adults an 7 children all together at Rays 2 Lake Cottage. We had plenty of room for all of us and it is just what we expected a rustic cottage in the woods with an awesome view in the living room of both lakes. If we had any concerns Ray was available and on top of it and especially helping us find an urgent care for a sick grandchild. We only left the cottage for supplies and out to dinner one night because we had a hard time getting the grand kids away from the boat, kayaks, swimming, fishing plus S'mores at the fire pit. On the 4th we had a wonderful surprise of our own private fireworks over the lake we didn't have to leave it was right in front of the dock! Everything fit our needs and we had an awesome time One week just wasn't enough !!
Jennifer - This vacation rental house was the perfect location to host my sisters bachelorette party. Not too far from downtown Traverse and lots to do at the house. It was too cold for us to utilize the water amenities but Ray had everything
available. He was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend!
Steve - Beautiful location and view. Really enjoyed the pontoon boat and kayaks. We had a few problems initially with some appliances but Ray was super responsive and fixed the issues right away.
Shaina - Host was always quick to respond and has clear policies. I helped my fiancé book the house for his bachelor party. Per their report “the house was really nice” and they had a great time. Ray was accommodating to helping us plan for a larger group.
